3 ways to bake banana cake

1. Banana Cheesecake

First of all, we want to share with you the preparation of the recipe for a banana cake with cheese. For the preparation of this delicious recipe, we will just need an egg and the following ingredients which we are going to tell you about.

Ingredients

  • 1 medium egg (60 g)
  • 4 ripe bananas (500 g)
  • 1/2 cup of butter (150 g)
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt (2.5 g)
  • 1 teaspoon of brown sugar (5 g)
  • 1/2 cup cheese white shredded (150 g)

Preparation

  • To make this banana cake with cheese, first peel the bananas and cook them in a saucepan with water until tender.
  • After that, remove them from the pan and mash them with a fork until you get a paste without pieces of fruit.
  • Once this dough is obtained, add the grated cheese and mix it until the dough is smooth.
  • Then break the egg into a bowl and beat it.
  • Once ready, add it to the banana and cheese mixture and add the sugar, butter – previously melted in the microwave – and salt, which will give more flavor.
  • Mix well and then pour the dough into a mold previously covered with baking paper.
  • Preheat the oven to 180ºC for a few minutes, then place the cake to bake. 20 minutes of cooking and it’s ready!

2. Banana cake without oven

Not everyone has an oven in their kitchen, or some people prefer not to use it too much to reduce energy expenditure. Therefore, we offer you  another way to bake banana cake, this time without using the oven.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup flour (50 g)
  • 2 medium eggs (60 g)
  • 3 ripe bananas (167 g)
  • 1 teaspoon of sweet wine (5 g)
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon (2.5 g)
  • 1/2 cup of cream cheese (100 g)
  • 2 teaspoons of butter (5 g)
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder (5 g)
  • 1 teaspoon of brown sugar (2.5 g)

Preparation

  • Making this no-bake banana cake is super easy. First, peel the bananas and mash them. It is important that the bananas are fully ripe, so that your dough can be even, without pieces of fruit.
  • Then add the cheese and mix until you get a smooth paste. After that, add the eggs to the mixture and continue beating.
  • Separately, mix one of the teaspoons of butter with the sugar and heat in the microwave. Once the butter is melted, mix well to dissolve the sugar in it.
  • Then add the sugar and butter to the banana and cheese mixture, along with the cinnamon, yeast and finally the wine.
  • Then add the remaining butter and flour to a saucepan. Heat briefly and, finally, empty the pan in the previous mixture.
  • After about 5 minutes over medium heat, finally turn the banana cake so that it is cooked through on both sides. You can add a very special touch to this cake if you replace the butter with one prepared from dried fruits.

3. Vegan banana cake

The last way to make a banana cake will allow us to prepare a vegan variant without neglecting  the good taste, nor the nutritional contribution of the cake. For this we will need:

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas (100 g)
  • 1 cup of granola (100 g)
  • A cup of stevia (100 g)
  • 1 cup of water (100 ml)
  • 3 and a half cups of flour (350 g)
  • A few drops of vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda (0.6 g)

Preparation

  • First, preheat the oven to 180 ° C.
  • Meanwhile, prepare the granola and stevia mixture, to which you will then add the sliced ​​bananas, baking soda and water.
  • Mix well to obtain a homogeneous paste, then also add a few drops of vanilla extract.
  • Then prepare a mold for the oven by oiling it and pour the mixture into it. Place it in the oven for about 15 minutes and check its cooking by regularly inserting the blade of a knife into the cake. If the blade stays clean, the dessert is ready.
  • Finally, take the cake out of the oven and let it cool to room temperature.
  • To present the dessert and give it a more special touch, you can sprinkle it with icing sugar on top or add a little jam on its surface when it is still hot.
