8 Lies Happy People Refuse To Believe

Happy people know how to take advantage of opportunities and instead of waiting for the perfect moment to arrive, they learn to foster it, or take advantage of whatever what an opportunity to achieve their goals.

Happy people are very different from each other but still have similarities: confidence, self-confidence and good self-esteem.

All of these people are capable of achieving their goals and making drastic changes. It may seem like they are achieving what they want without much effort, but there is nothing further from the truth.

How do they get there? It is very simple. Happy people realize their limits and work to change them.

Most ordinary people believe some things that are wrong.

1. You can’t …

Happy people live their lives.

Often times we say what we want to do and someone says “you can’t do that”.

Many of us believe this and fail to see that it is a big lie.

Look around you: everything we have in life exists because someone had the idea to do it.

  • If JK Rowling had believed she was incapable of writing and making a living from it, the world would never have known Harry Potter.

The truth is, you can do a lot of the things you want to do.

2. I need… to…

If you need a job to make money, that’s okay. But that you have to give up on your goals to get that money isn’t.

Happy people find that waiting for the perfect situation to be able to do something is totally illogical.

Most times, all you need to get what you want is determination and the belief that you can get it done.

Most of the things that we think are vital to achieving our goals only require a little ingenuity.

3. I don’t feel like …

This feeling is the most normal in the world, but it is also an illusion. Sometimes we feel like we are “scammers” or occupy a space that does not suit us.

You are your own strength, you must give yourself courage and above all believe in yourself.

We know that it is not possible to always be on top, but it is your duty to believe in yourself and never let anyone break your trust.

When you feel like you are a wrong person, try to find out what is going on and where that feeling is coming from.

Know that a large part of your successes come from the confidence you have in yourself.

4. I am too old / old to…

Happy people in life.

Don’t let anyone make you believe this and neither do you believe it!

Happy people have realized that this is one of the biggest lies in our world.

Age is only a number that determines the time elapsed from the moment of our birth, it is not a barrier that grows over time.

So no matter how old you are, you can always change, improve, and reinvent yourself. If someone tells you that, answer, “My age is just a reflection of my opportunities, not my limitations.”

5. It’s easy to say, but I can’t do it

Of course, it’s always easier said than done. Anyone can express what they want or dream of, but “doing it” takes effort.

What happy people know is that they have to take this step to achieve what they want.

They don’t just dream. They know that their dreams are the basis of everything they do, and they are willing to do whatever it takes.

6. Happy people don’t believe that control is everything

Happy people accept that they cannot control everything, and therefore devote their time to the control they can have while being surprised by others.

They realized that wanting to control everything is a waste of energy and time. So don’t be fooled: don’t waste your time on things you can’t control.

7. Happy people don’t think life is unfair

This is an immensely big belief and one that pervades many people with depression. Life is obviously fair.

Of course painful things do happen, even for happy people, but you have to learn to face this reality. This does not mean that life is unfair.

Happy people blindly trust the righteousness of life. They understand that pain and suffering are transient moods, but not determinants.

Yes, bad things happen. Life itself is a miracle worth celebrating and it is already something wonderful.

8. Happy people don’t exist

This phrase is very common, but it is wrong. Happiness and happy people exist, believe it. And above all believe that you deserve it and that you are.

We all have the power to be happy.

Happiness is a right that we all have when we are born, even if we often imagine that it is not true, to make us feel less sad.

Remember: Happiness is a right that you have to give yourself.
