Generally, the changes that affect the hands have nothing to do with any ailment, but it is important to know the possible causes.

We very rarely start to observe our hands in their smallest details, or to look at their possible alterations. But is very important to pay attention to it. As well as being aware that there are signs on the hands that can tell us that something is wrong. 

This part of our body can change with the passage of time. Although it becomes more evident with aging, there are some early signs that can manifest something about our health.

Hands play a fundamental role in our life and it’s hard to imagine what we would be like without them.

1. The shaking hands

If the hands suddenly start to shake, it is a red flag. The first thing that comes to mind is Parkinson’s disease. Indeed, this tremor is its main symptom.

Yet these same signs on the hands can also appear as a result of excess caffeine or abuse of antidepressant drugs. 

2. Sweating

Sweating in the hands is very common. Especially in people who suffer from hyperhidrosis or excessive sweating.

3. The flaming hands

Inflammation of the hands almost always indicates edema. It happens when fluids are retained in the tissues of the body.

4. Scaly, dry hands

As with the feet, the hands can also show severe symptoms as a result of dryness.

Although they rarely suffer from chapping, they tend to develop calluses or hardening due to lack of nutrients and due to the accumulation of dead skin.

If the skin suddenly becomes scaly, this indicates that there is a deficiency in group B vitamins, necessary to repair tissue and strengthen the nails.

The increase in niacin (vitamin B3) and biotin (vitamin B7) helps to improve their appearance because these vitamins stimulate the production of collagen and the retention of natural moisture.

5. Rashes and itching

If there are signs on the hands of changes that cause itching, dryness, and rashes, this may indicate that the skin has eczema.

7. The tips of blue fingers

If your fingertips change color and turn blue or red, it may be due to Raynaud’s disease.

This is an unusual disorder of the blood vessels. It frequently affects the fingers of the hands and feet, as a result of cold or stress.

Although the diagnosis can only be given by an expert, therapy for this condition involves using woolen gloves, quitting smoking, and avoiding stress and low temperatures.

8. The fragility of the nails

Fragility is very common in people who bite their nails. But in almost all cases, it indicates a calcium or protein deficiency. These are essential nutrients that help maintain keratin in the nails.

9. Spots on the hands

When you come into daily contact with hundreds of harsh surfaces and products, obvious signs of aging develop on your hands, such as stains.
