1. Cassava-based crisps

This tuber is undoubtedly the one that offers the most possibilities, because of its delicious taste. This food doesn’t need a lot of condiments, it’s easy to prepare, and goes well with almost any sauce.

Ingredients

  • 4 cassava
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil (30 ml)
  • 1 pinch of black pepper
  • 1 pinch of kosher salt
  • 4 cups of water (1 liter)

Preparation

  1. Peel the cassava, wash it, then set it aside for later.
  2. In a saucepan filled with water, add salt and pepper, then bring the water to a boil (high heat).
  3. Cut the cassava into slices, then add them to the pan.
  4. Let the cassava cook for about 15 minutes until they become soft.
  5. Once the indicated time has elapsed, remove the pan from the heat, drain the cassava, and place them on a baking sheet.
  6. Pour oil on all the rings, then season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Bake for five minutes on both sides at 170 degrees or until the rings have turned a nice golden color.

2. Eggplant-based chips

Eggplant is a fun challenge. This vegetable has a texture that is poorly resistant to heat, which is why it becomes easily soft. To get a better result, you will need to dehydrate the eggplant. 

Ingredients 

  • 2 cups of eggplant pieces (160 g)
  • 1 branch of parsley
  • 1 onion
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil (30 ml)
  • 1 pinch of ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of ground cumin
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed (7 g)

Preparation

  1. Cut the onion into julienne. Drizzle olive oil over it, sprinkle with cumin and pepper, then set aside for later.
  2. On a baking sheet, place the pieces of eggplant, then salt. Leave to rest for about fifteen minutes.
  3. For the seasoning, gather the finely chopped parsley, the crushed garlic cloves, and the pinch of pepper.
  4. Once the fifteen minutes have elapsed, place the onion pieces and the garlic-based seasoning on the eggplant pieces.
  5. Then cook in the oven at 170 degrees for twenty-five minutes. After 12 minutes, flip the eggplant pieces with a fork so that they take on a golden color evenly.
  6. Remove the preparation from the oven. That’s it !

3. Broccoli-based crisps Ingredients

  • 4 cups of broccoli  (320 g)
  • 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil (45 ml)
  • 2 tablespoons of oatmeal (30 g)
  • 1 pinch of powdered marinade
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 2 eggs

Preparation

  1. Break the eggs, then beat them until you obtain a homogeneous mixture similar to that of an omelet.
  2. In a frying pan, heat the three tablespoons of olive oil, then wait.
  3. Sprinkle the broccoli with oatmeal, then season with salt and pepper. Repeat with the eggs.
  4. Place the broccoli pieces on the pan, then fry them on both sides. The idea is to get a crisp, golden texture.
  5. Once the broccoli is ready, turn off the heat, then let cool a bit (not too much either).
  6. Then it’s time to enjoy your delicious broccoli-based crisps!
